About the Opportunity

Currently, RAM Construction has an exciting opportunity for a Carpenter Foreman to join our team based in Delta, B.C. on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be working on sites throughout the lower mainland.

As our new Carpenter Foreman, you'll work to ensure that our client's projects are built to the highest quality standards and are completed both on time and within budget. This role will see you leading a crew of carpenters and assisting our superintendents with various commercial and light industrial construction responsibilities. 

Some of your key responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Liaise with Site Superintendent with regards to daily operations including deliveries, cleanliness, and procurement and storage of materials and supplies
  • Lead a crew of carpenters during construction projects
  • Assist in ensuring that tasks are completed accurately according to provided information in a timely manner.
  • Adapt to a dynamic environment with deliberate design goals and narrow margins for error.
  • Handle intricate tasks with an understanding and appreciation of the work involved, including critical and forward-thinking approaches.
  • Execute tasks in a sequential manner whenever feasible.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information gathering.
  • Interpret blueprints to determine specifications and estimate requirements.  

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you'll need 5-7 years of previous experience in leading a carpenter crew in commercial and industrial construction, along with formwork and/or tilt-up experience. 

As our ideal candidate, you'll join us with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. Your attention to detail, along with your technical knowledge and proficiency in using electrical, manual, and measurement tools will ensure your success as you work to support the completion of our projects. You'll also join us with a natural aptitude for taking initiative, the ability to be accountable and reliable, and possess the physical capabilities required to carry out the role.  

Above all, you'll have a passion for commercial and industrial construction and be eager to learn and build your skill set in a supportive team environment.
