About the Opportunity
Currently, RAM Construction has exciting opportunities for multiple Site Coordinators to join our team based in Delta, B.C. on a full-time basis. The successful candidates will be working on sites throughout the lower mainland.
As one of our new Site Coordinators, you'll work to ensure that our client's projects are built to the highest quality standards and are completed both on time and within budget. This role will see you assisting our superintendents and skilled tradespersons with various commercial and light industrial construction responsibilities, with an emphasis on safety and performing First Aid requirements.
Some of your key responsibilities within this role will include:
- Assisting site supervision while conducting general site duties, as required
- Organizing and maintaining the job site standard of cleanliness, including lay down areas, tool cribs, and the site office
- Coordinating deliveries, off load goods, and managing lay-down and storage areas
- Maintaining tools on site, tagging “out of use” tools and requesting new ones
- Assisting the Carpenter Foreman in various material organization and deliveries
- Actively promoting health and safety awareness
- Populating necessary daily, weekly and monthly safety paperwork including safety inspections, tool box talks, orientations, and other misc. required items
- Performing necessary safety work, ie. guard rails, flagging off work zones, etc.
- Contributing to the team environment on job sites through collaboration and communication
- Conducting incident investigation
- Liaising with WorkSafe BC and other regulatory authorities to promote safety on the job site
- Providing first aid assessment and treatment for workers, as required, while managing and maintaining accurate records and paperwork
More About You
In order to qualify for this role, you'll need 3-5 years of previous experience in commercial and industrial construction sites, along with an OFA Level 2 certification and general safety knowledge. You are familiar with building construction processes and are able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
As our ideal candidate, you'll join us with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. Your attention to detail, organization skills and your technical knowledge will ensure your success as you work to support the completion of our projects. You'll also join us with a natural aptitude for taking initiative, ability to be accountable and reliable, and possess the physical capabilities required to carry out the role.
Above all, you'll have a positive, can-do attitude with a passion for commercial and industrial construction and are eager to learn and build your skillset in a supportive team environment.
